Gilmore supports an array of efforts to help young people of color get a better education and work in the transportation industry. That’s why we’re supporting the Airport Minority Advisory Council’s 2014 Scholarship for young people of color who are interested in a career in aviation.

The scholarship is also supported by the Colorado Association of Professional Black Engineers & Scientists, an organization Gilmore executives support throughout the school year by leading after-school, educational activities focused on the sciences for kids.

Applicants for the aviation scholarship must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the aviation/airport industry and in seeking a B.S. or B.A. in aviation, business administration, accounting, architecture, engineering or finance.

The deadline for applications for the national scholarship is Nov. 7.
