Steve joined Gilmore in November of 2017 as our Superintendent working with the Denver International Airport (DEN) project team. Over the last few years, he plays a critical role in the success of  projects at DEN to include the Great Hall Expansion, airline renovations and maintenance, and retail tenant finishes. His servant leadership style, ability to effectively communicate with the various stakeholders, and ability to understand owner’s expectations are key factors for Steve receiving the 2020 Gilmore Way Award.

He is someone who advocates for and mentors our laborers, carpenters and foremen. Trade partners praise his ability to see the big picture, keep all parties successful—while having a little fun along the way. Most recently, Steve did an exceptional job managing the DEN Concourse Pump Room project.  We appreciate his success in keeping the Turner-Flatiron Joint Venture project on schedule. Finally, he is instrumental working with the team to meet the challenging Phase 1 completion date of this project and Phase 2 is also on schedule to be completed April 2021.

“Steve’s style and leadership skills have gained the utmost respect from the entire DEN and Joint Venture Project Management teams. Steve takes great care of all the Gilmore relationships established at DEN over the last few years and this is a contributing factor to our overall success at the airport. Steve’s experience and professionalism speaks volumes when representing Gilmore on all projects at DEN. “

On behalf of the company as a whole, congratulations Steve! Gilmore appreciates the hours you have spent ensuring success on your projects and your dedication to your team and company.
