Gilmore Construction Corporation supports The Gathering Place and their important work supporting homeless or underprivileged women in Denver.

The organization helps transient and homeless women and transgendered individuals and their children get the support they need. Here’s their latest news:

Also The Gathering Place is looking for volunteers this summer. They currently have openings in:

  • The Kitchen (every day),
  • Betsy’s Cupboard (Tues. a.m., Wed. p.m., Thurs. a.m.),
  • Bridget’s Boutique (Wed. a.m.),
  • The Family Area (every day),
  • The Computer Lab (Thurs. and Fri. a.m.),
  • The Card Project (Tues. a.m.), and
  • The Welcome Desk (Fri. a.m.).

According to the organization: “We are also looking for someone to help with data entry on Friday afternoons, someone to provide haircuts on the third Monday of each month (from 9 a.m.-noon), and someone to facilitate our Open Art sessions on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday of each month from 9:30-11:30 a.m.”
