Colorado construction employment grew 5.4 percent in the past year, according to the Associated General Contractors of Colorado. Gilmore is proud to be part of that rising trend.

The actual numbers were 126,800 employees in June 2013 and 133,600 employees in June, 2014.  Employers were able to add a net of 6,800 new employees to the market.

Increasing demand can affect labor rates and start dates for certain projects so Associated General Contractors of Colorado conducts a salary and wage survey every fall to help AGC members plan for annual reviews and labor rates. Members will get the survey sometime this month.

AGC is also launching a new labor recruitment website this month at www.buildcolorado.com where companies can post available positions to 18-30-year-olds around the region.
