The Urban Land Institute is offering women and minorities interested in a career in commercial real estate the chance to receive mentoring and instruction through its Real Estate Diversity Initiative, or REDI.

Applications for the program, now in its fifth year, are due June 20. You can find them at http://colorado.uli.org.

REDI runs from early July through mid-November. Graduates will receive a one-year membership to the ULI.

REDI matches up to 36 student participants with six professional mentors. Together, they work to develop a hypothetical project in Denver’s Westwood neighborhood. The process gives students the chance to learn all key aspects of project development, such as design, approvals, finance and marketing.
