Vince Gilmore, Gilmore Construction’s director of business development, has been appointed to serve on the board of the Colorado chapter of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials, or COMTO.
Since its establishment in on the campus of Howard University in 1971, the organization has worked to “ensure a level playing field and maximum participation in the transportation industry for minority individuals, businesses and communities of color through advocacy, information sharing, training, education and professional development.”
COMTO offers an array of resources for transportation professionals, including a searchable database to identify job opportunities and periodic certification-training programs. COMTO’s robust, annual conference — coming up this year July 12-15 in Atlanta — offers great industry insight and professional networking.
